WHEN I'M NOT SHOOTING WEDDINGS...

... You’ll find me shooting other creative projects, which often looks like connecting with parents to be or new mums, dads, and carers. My speciality is intimate, nostalgic portraits. prompted not posed… meaning lots of gorgeous natural shots.

I liaise about outfits / bedding / bits that could help for the shoot just like I would chit chat with wedding couples before the day but most of the shoot involves scoping a new environment quickly for the best light, finding the best corners for photos, and most importantly - helping my lovely clients to feel confident and at ease in front of the camera. listening to them about their priorities and what vibes they love best. That’s why (just like weddings) every gallery is unique to the couple or client.

My lifestyle work massively influences and helps me with my wedding work. I love intimate, skin to skin and feeding portraits. I love celebrating the pregnant body and family connections. Being pregnant can leave us feeling vulnerable - our bodies have changed so much, we’re less rested and all of a sudden constantly thinking about someone else… it’s easy to feel less than our best selves or self conscious. especially when comparing to ‘perfect’ lives on Instagram.

My approach to these sessions is to listen and celebrate. be sensitive to any hang ups or anxieties, but always champion the wonder of the occasion and who I’m taking photos of.

I always say that my superpower is helping people to relax and have fun having their photo taken. I am always very in tune with my couples and clients, responding as / when the vibe shifts to ensure the whole experience is as positive + enjoyable as possible. Plus, if I can find the best light in a two bed semi or studio flat - you best believe it helps me to no end with tricky light (and avoiding plug sockets - my arch nemesis 🤣) at your gorgeous wedding venue.
