After a beautiful 2022 season, I was keen to organise a detail-led editorial full of trends I’m loving before this year’s wedding season started and 2023 got wild.

Prestwold hall is a gem within the Midlands. There are so many epic backdrops to frame photos and the gardens provide the perfect escape for couples and group portraits. I knew it would be the perfect place to show my take on how to style a blue wedding and blend my love for country home, their intricate interiors and the super chic Parisian aesthetic.

Surrounded by a team of remarkable women all local to the Leicester area and with a new analogue camera in hand, I was ready to capture those awe-inspiring shots, even in the glorious yet notoriously challenging light that often graces a  summer wedding.

If you’re planning to get married at Prestwold Hall or you’re planning a cool tone wedding, dive into this editorial as featured on Coco wedding venues and as seen in Tatler.

Inside Prestwold Hall

Within the decadent Drawing Room at Prestwold Hall, my creative vision ran wild, creating three distinct bridal looks, each spilling with its own unique charm and style.

My images always have a touch of grandeur and cinema and I’ll always lean into the surroundings and take inspiration from them. Within the architectural masterpiece that is the Grand Entrance, I felt spoiled and was so excited to shoot. went full on cinematic chic with a breathtaking ball gown adorned with intricate embroidery and luxurious fabric. It was made for this Vatican-inspired setting and served Italian romance with a side of Vogue. The play of light and shadow added depth and so it’s ideal for dramatic cinematic black and white shots and  some editorial flash photography images.

The opportunity to create a bespoke tablescape in the Drawing Room was so exciting. Untouched, this room is insanely beautiful. So when my team led by Sarah from Mose & grabbed it with both hands and styled it to perfection it was elevated to all kinds of gorgeous. Every detail, from the choice of table linens to the selection of floral arrangements and decor elements, was carefully curated to reflect the ‘Something Blue’ wedding theme. Whether you prefer a minimalist and contemporary design or a more lavish and opulent aesthetic, the Drawing Room provides the perfect backdrop to bring your vision to life and for those first look shots before your guests arrive.

This look showcased an ethereal and relaxed bride portrait. A winning combination of soft, diffused light and elegant surroundings resulted in gorgeous bridal portraits that highlight every detail. The perfect opportunity to capture your radiant beauty and flawless makeup on your big day. - love

There are so many beautiful backdrops within the grounds of Prestwold Hall. With its stone walls, quaint archways, and manicured courtyard, the outdoor space adds a touch of romance and intimacy to any photograph.

This classic bridal look featured a form-fitting silhouette and was elevated to editorial perfection with a veil of dreams. The doorway was the perfect frame for capturing stunning entrance and exit shots and served bold and blue romance thanks to the insane floristry skills of Gigil & Bloom

The courtyard is a hidden gem and the perfect location to enjoy that just married feeling and capture the wow shots and the candid in between moments of your wedding day. I went full on Lana del rey, creating hazy nostalgic shots spilling with elegance and never ending romance. I am obsessed with the final frames. Summer sun can be difficult to work with but I love editorials for the creative space they afford me and the time to experiment. The images of Wingshan dancing amongst the flowers are some of my all time favourite images.

It was the muse that inspired this ‘Something Blue’ shoot of dreams showcasing the power celebrating every inch your venue and of selecting a dream team of suppliers who understand the significance of styling, details, backdrops, and lighting

Whether you’re envisioning an ethereal fairytale, a modern celebration, or want to fall head over heels in classic romance, Prestwold Hall offers the perfect ambiance to bring your dreams to life.
