Pippa and Nick's Garden Party Wedding at Kin House, Wiltshire

The Venue

Nestled in the heart of Wiltshire, Kin House provided an epic and idyllic backdrop for Pippa and Nick's modern and chic wedding, and as a UK and destination wedding photographer obsessed with travel and hotels, I couldn't have been more excited to shoot a wedding in front of the many iconic backdrops Kin house boasts. . The venue’s boutique and mid century furnishings and colours set the perfect stage for an iconic wedding gallery full to the brim with wild laughter, dancing and togetherness with friends.

The Approach

Pippa and Nick were keen to have almost full reportage photography, meaning minimal interruptions for staged moments or photos such as group shots or family formals. I worked with them ahead of the day to help them plan a timeline (as I do with all couples) so that on the day, everyone knew ahead of time that there would be a set time for posed photos, and for the rest of the day the couple wanted to relax and be present.

Adopting this super relaxed and unobtrusive approach allowed me to focus on organic moments, something I love; capturing genuine moments and emotions throughout the day without any disruptions or pressure to facilitate photos that won’t contribute to the couple’s vision for their gallery.

As a wedding photographer, I always work with couples ahead of their day to establish their priorities and how they want their gallery to feel. I understand that there will be pressure to make certain images happen, and I have various tools that I will share with couples ahead of time to ensure these more formal, staged photos run efficiently so that you can return to the party.

The Aesthetic

Pippa's silk and minimal gown reflected her understated and elegant style and was one of my favourite bridal looks to date. It complemented her effortlessly chic aesthetic perfectly and I could not get enough.

The floral palette at Pippa and Nick's wedding was nothing short of stunning. The most gorgeous selection of blooms and greenery by Flowers by Passion carefully and thoughtfully adorned Kin House, at various heights and locations, creating an abundance of romance and drama . The textures and colours of the abundant florals  complimented their relaxed and natural wedding vibe and provided the perfect backdrop for detail shots.

The Portraits

I always recommend shooting couple’s portraits as guests are taking their seats for dinner. Not only does this grant you privacy but also means you get to enjoy more of your cocktail hour which is such an important part of the day - you’ve just got married, the emotions are high in the best way, and you want to enjoy that elated buzz with your closest few…

What’s more, you would otherwise be hidden away, waiting to be announced into the wedding breakfast. I also encourage you to look forward to it as you get to spend quality time together, interacting with each other and enjoying the newlywed chaos together.

I’ll never get you to pose in an awkward way that feels unnatural or inauthentic to you, and I’m on hand to give gentle prompts and guidance as and when required, to help get all those epic wow shots without taking you off for hours.

The Party

Potentially the best singer / DJ / entertainment combo I've ever experienced... Pippa and Nick hired a Covent Garden based singer to entertain their guests and then Dos Tiempos to help guests party long into the evening.

Pippa and Nick's elegant garden party wedding at Kin House was a true celebration of minimal elegance. From the venue's timeless charm to the stunning floral palette and the couple's relaxed vision, every element came together to create a day filled with love, joy and connection.

It was a perfect example of how embracing an unobtrusive approach can allow you to fully enjoy your day, creating natural wedding photos and a legacy that will last a lifetime. These were truly some of my favourite images I have ever taken.
